Thrive Health leverages their strengths with InceptionU
Spring 2022 | Margo Purcell, Jen Morrison & Greg Hart
The Challenge
Thrive Health is a tech platform designed to accelerate the digital transformation of the healthcare industry, empowering patients and providers with actionable insights. Thrive Health reduces fragmentation by centralizing the patient profile and integrating with existing systems and workflows to unlock the right data, to the right people, at the right time.
The company went through a rapid growth phase during Covid, adding new team members, some of whom are new to the tech industry. Post-pandemic, it was essential to build relationships between the new and legacy employees. This customer-facing team works remotely and some members had never met one another before.
Chief Commercial Officer Danielle Durand wanted to find a way to bring this diverse and passionate group of people together to figure out how they could leverage the strengths of each other to achieve their common goals.
Workshop participants worked in marketing, sales, technical implementation, customer success and customer support and human resources.
The Solution
InceptionU designed a series of 8 different Lumina workshops delivered to two groups of 15 people. They were 3-hour sessions delivered once a week in a virtual format.
Lumina is an innovative psychometric tool that helps to cultivate self-awareness and fosters collaborative teamwork.
The first half of the workshops focused on people and second half focused on business problems the group was trying to solve.
Each individual walked away with a “mirror” of their personality which they can sync with other team mates to discover how they are similar and different.
The Impact
Created a safe environment for employees to share, resulting in valuable insights that will influence strategy and enhance operations.
Built deeper trust and understanding among team members.
The team now has several resources to ensure there is a diversity of thought and personality types at the table for key business discussions, helping to prevent bias and ensure problems are viewed through different lenses.
Increased efficiency because there is a shared language now among the team to describe personalities and communication strategies.
Team members discovered alignments and beneficial working relationships with others they didn’t think they had much in common with.
Future plans to bring Lumina to technical side of business including developers and data architects, etc.
Updated remote work and onboarding playbooks to include Lumina insights.
