In partnership with 321 Growth Academy (OnRamp) and the Government of Alberta, the Tech Adjacent program is offered exclusively to eligible Albertans at zero cost.
The Tech Adjacent Program builds on the skills you have, while developing the essential skills and project experience you NEED.
The Tech Adjacent Program offers training in Growth Marketing, Customer Success, Lean Sales, and Full Stack Design, strengthening existing capabilities while imparting crucial technical knowledge.
By engaging in real-world projects and portfolio development, participants can more easily transition into the tech industry, significantly boosting their employability and actively contributing to the province's workforce prosperity.
How does the Tech Adjacent Program work?
To set you up for success, you will spend the first portion of the program doing deep career work and self exploration before choosing the path that is the best fit for you. This helps to ensure a better career fit, greater success in the program, and meaningful work that is ideal for you.
The Tech Adjacent Program has two stages:
Week 1 - Week 8 of the program (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6-9pm and every Saturday 10am-2pm), you will engage in deep career work to help identify skills, interests, values, and unique aspects of your personality. With the integration of essential skills training to support ways of thinking, working in team, and effective communication, you will have a strong foundation to choose a career path that is a great fit for you.
Stage Two
Tech adjacent roles are positions where it’s essential to have high level knowledge of how technology works to contribute significantly to the success of the companies they serve. This program offers three distinct pathways to enhance skill sets and create opportunities for professional growth in:

Full Stack Design +
Week 9 - Week 26: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6-9pm MST
+ 1 Saturday/month 10am-2pm MST
Create the conditions for success
Design fundamentals including analysis of complex problems and assumptions
Deep dive into User Experience, User Interface, and Testing
Explore design platforms including Figma and Low Code / No Code
