Why enroll in the Coding Support program?

You’ve been hearing the buzz about low code and no code technology. You know you don’t want to be a software developer or engineer, but supporting the lead developer is something that piques your interest. You know you can add value to tech companies in Alberta by helping them customize commercial applications for their enterprises.

Are there any prerequisites or qualifications?

Our program intake process relies heavily on mindset. We are looking for people who love tech and computers, thrive in a fast-paced and agile environment and consider themselves to be problem solvers and solution providers. Low code and no code technology is always changing so you have a deep desire to stay current and constantly update your skills. We don’t require a previous degree or diploma.

Why are there four weeks of Essential Skills Training?

In the first portion of the program, you will engage in deep career work to help identify skills, interests, values, and unique aspects of your personality. This self-reflection will give you a strong foundation to choose a career path that is a great fit for you. If you're still not sure, don’t worry. Our facilitators are experts in career development and we will help you figure out which of the four career paths is the best fit.

What roles will I be qualified for?

This program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge for an entry-level no code/low code position including:

  • Low code engineer

  • No code developer

  • Automation developer

Through bi-weekly retrospective exercises with our participants, we update the program design to reflect changes in learner needs. This allows us to customize and respond to emerging needs, industry trends and learner interests.

Who are the instructors?

The technical leads for our programs are professionals who actively work in industry, providing a “real world” perspective and a wealth of knowledge about ongoing changes in the field of work.
