What Changes for You

Your Last Presentation Didn't Land. Do You Know Why?

Most presentations don't just underperform, they actively lose the room. Your audience checks out, your message gets buried in cluttered slides, and the buy-in, the deal, or the project approval you needed never materializes. It's not because you don't have something worth saying. It's because nobody ever taught you the architecture of a presentation that actually works.

This full-day workshop changes that. You'll learn to define your purpose and outcomes before you open a slide deck, build in the hooks that keep people listening, and structure a story that holds up across different circumstances and stakes. You'll also learn to use text, images, and different media, from chalkboards to slideshows, so your visuals support your message instead of burying it.

By the end of the day, you won't just understand what makes a presentation work. You'll have built and tested one, live, with real feedback, on something you can actually use.

Who This Is For

For Anyone Whose Presentation Needs to Actually Move People

Built For

  • 01
Founders and entrepreneurs pitching to investors
You need to stand out in a sea of generic decks and make your idea impossible to ignore.
  • 02
Corporate leaders delivering updates that stick
Whether it's a project update or a strategic vision, you need your message to land and be remembered.
  • 03
    Technical experts translating complex data
You need to turn dense information into a narrative people can actually follow, without losing the "why" behind it.
  • 04
Anyone who has to present, period
If you have a message and an audience, this workshop applies to you, no matter the topic or the stakes.

Not For You If

... If you want to sit in the audience. This is a hands-on, project-based workshop, you'll build and test a real presentation over the course of the day.
... If you or your team is virtual. It's delivered in person only, so it isn't the right fit if you need a fully remote option.

Six Modules. One Goal: A Presentation That Actually Works.

Each module builds toward the same outcome: a real presentation you build, test, and refine before you ever have to deliver it for real.

Strategic Intent

Learn to define your purpose and desired outcome before you open a slide deck, so every choice you make afterward serves a clear goal instead of just filling time.

The Art of Persuasion

Learn to embed the hooks that capture attention early and hold it, so your core message actually lands instead of getting lost in the first five minutes.

Narrative Architecture

Structure your presentation to support your goal, and adapt that structure to fit different circumstances, audiences, and stakes, not just one fixed template.

Visual Impact

Use text and graphics to strengthen your message instead of burying it, and learn to spot and avoid the common visual mistakes that cause cognitive overload.

Media Literacy

Understand how different media, from chalkboards to slide decks, actually affect an audience, and choose the right one for your message instead of defaulting to slides.

Live Testing & Feedback

Build and deliver your presentation in a safe, project-based environment, and get immediate, direct feedback you can use before you ever present it for real.

Where did InceptionU help me? Where did they not. They helped me rewire my entire way of thinking. I may not know the answers now — but I know I can find them. That makes me feel ready for basically anything.

Why InceptionU

We Don't Just Teach Presentation Tips. We Rebuild How You Communicate.

InceptionU's approach is built on MetaSkills, the thinking capacities that transfer far beyond any single slide deck. Your Presentation Probably Sucks isn't a lecture on public speaking, it's a project-based workshop where you build, test, and refine a real presentation using design, creative thinking, and critical thinking. You leave with a stronger presentation and a permanently sharper sense of what makes any presentation work.

Build and test, not just watch
You'll leave the day with an actual presentation you built and tested live, not just notes on theory.
MetaSkills that transfer
Design, creative thinking, and critical thinking apply to your next presentation and the one after that, not just today's.
Practitioner-led, not lecture-based
Greg Hart brings decades of real facilitation experience from around the globe, not academic theory dressed up as a workshop.
Common Questions

Before your team signs up, let's answer the obvious ones.

Is this workshop hands-on, or mostly lecture?

It's hands-on and project-based. You'll build and test a real presentation over the course of the day and get direct feedback, not just sit through slides about presenting.

Do I need to bring an existing presentation?

It helps but isn't required. Bring a real project, pitch, or update you're working on and you'll leave with a stronger version of it.

Is this only available in person?

Yes, this session currently runs in person only. If your team needs a virtual option, talk to us.

What do you mean when you mention MetaSkills? What are they, and how will they help me?

Tools don't solve problems. People do. Our ability to use MetaSkills — critical thinking, systems thinking, creative thinking, computational thinking, design, and collaboration — are timeless competencies central to your future success. These aren't just career skills; they have impact across every area of your life.

Every InceptionU program is built around developing these alongside the technical content. That's what makes the learning stick.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel 10 or more days before the program start date, you'll receive a full refund. Cancellations between 10 days and 24 hours before the start date can be transferred to a future cohort at no additional cost. For cancellations within 24 hours of the start date, we're not able to process a refund or transfer — but reach out anyway and we'll see what we can do.

Is InceptionU an accredited institution?

Fortunately, we are not. That gives us the freedom to be agile and adaptable as technology and industries evolve. We work closely with industry partners to design programming that aligns with real workforce needs — not what was relevant five years ago. If you'd like our full perspective on credentials and credentialing, read our take on the blog.
